Layan is a beautiful long-haired cat who was picked up by the local health authorities in the area around Santa Teresa School (San Pedro Alcántara).
We know he has an owner, but so far they haven’t come to collect him. In the meantime, Layan is waiting at the animal shelter, not quite understanding why his life has changed.
He is an affectionate cat with people; he lets himself be stroked and enjoys cuddles and company. He seeks contact and appreciates every moment of attention.
With other cats, however, he does not feel comfortable. He has probably been an only cat, and the change to living with several cats is proving difficult for him, so he would be ideal for a home where he can be at peace and without other cats.
It’s hard not to think that, somewhere out there, there’s someone who knows him… but in the meantime, all we can do is give him love and hope that he’ll soon have the chance to feel at home again.
If, after the legal waiting period has passed, no one comes to claim him, Layan will be available for adoption and can start a new life with a family who will care for and love him as he deserves.
