Tirina came to us from Los Barrios shelter while they had flooding from the terrible rains in January 2026. When she first arrived, she was confused for only a brief moment, but then after the first run in the dog park, she was already sprinting around happily. We call her Tina for short Tina, otherwise noone remembers if it's Tirana, Tirina, Tirana, so now it's Tina! Tina has a beautiful kind character, she is social, cheerful, with a happy nature. Tina is soft with humans, very gentle and kind, even when she is playful, she always behaves polite around humans. She really has a good humor, and will make you laugh when you're together. For example, she will wait for a chewing snack like a really good girl, and when you give it to her, she makes little kangaroo jumps, then sprints for her life, and hides in the bush to enjoy her snack. Tina loves to be around you, and walk next to you. She is full of enthusiasm for life, a very pleasantly active girl, who doesn't overwhelm or overrun you, she is polite with humans and dogs as well. Tina lives still alone in the shelter at the moment due to lack of bigger spaces, but she goes walking with male dogs, and we believe in a home she could very well live together with a social, friendly male, who is not bothered by a playful bouncer. Tina has a funny look on her face, her eyes are set in a way that she looks surprised or wondering about life, giving her a very memorable face. On the streets, she walks calmly, and is not upset or startled about noises, other dogs, people, which makes us think she could probably also well live in a town, small city setting. On the walks she just likes to sniff flowers, look around, say hello to people - never bothering anyone, nor other dogs. As Tina is so kind and social with all humans, then we believe she would also be suitable for living in a home with older children, in an age that do not get easily run over during play-time anymore. In the shelter she is one of the few dogs marked as "Kids OK", meaning she very often goes walking with families with children of different ages. She still is not very used to driving in the car yet, but this will be fine with a bit of practise, no problem. Tina is suitable for different type of homes and families, on the countryside, in a town environment. She could live with children or also with elderly people, as she does not jump up on you and she does not pull on the leash. Only thing she would like to have is a home without cats, and also in a neighborhood with not too many cats running around free, because she doesn't really appreciate the furry little tigers. She is a compact girl, and her shoulder height is just about 50cm. For adoptions in Spain, a PPP registration is required, which the shelter can help with. Tina is also available for international adoptions.
