Lalo arrived at Triple A in July 2025 with a serious injury to his left hind leg, probably caused by being hit by a car. The fracture was very complex and he underwent surgery performed by an orthopaedic surgeon, who attempted to save the limb through surgery and the fitting of external fixators.
For months, Lalo underwent check-ups, treatment and a long recovery process. However, his progress did not go as hoped and, ultimately, the only option to ensure his wellbeing and a good quality of life was to amputate his hind leg.
Today, Lalo is a three-legged cat who has shown an incredible ability to adapt. He moves about, explores and leads a normal life. His disability does not stop him from enjoying life or seeking affection from people.
He is an affectionate, brave cat, full of zest for life. A true fighter who has overcome far more than any cat should have to face and who, even so, continues to trust people.
Now all that’s left is for him to find the most important thing: a family who will look beyond his amputated leg and discover the wonderful companion behind his story.
💛 Lalo doesn’t need four legs to be happy; he just needs a family who will love him forever.
✨ Adopt Lalo and give him the happy ending he so richly deserves.
