Ace was abandoned by his human in a terrible skin condition, his skin was immensely inflamed, swollen, definitely one of the worst cases we have seen. We urgently took Ace to a traumatologist and he has a severe case of alopecia, which has been made terrible due to neglect and lack of medical treatment. Poor Ace has been crying so much and scratching himself just non-stop. Now our volunteers are washing Ace every day with his medical shampoo and the medical team is chasing him around with medicines. Slowly but surely Ace's condition is significantly improving, but due to the state that he was left in, it will be a long and tiring way for his full recovery still. From character, Ace is such a sweet boy. He really enjoys human contact and is very food motivated. He’ll keep offering his paw until you give him a treat. He likes to do tricks and working together. Sometimes he just “wuffs” into the air for no obvious reason, he’s of course a bit frustrated and sad, but even then he is adorable. You can take him out of his kennel really well and the moment you settle down in the dog park, he’ll lie next to you, put his head on the ground and just look around or relax. Overall he is very friendly and easygoing. So far, dog encounters have not been an issue at all and he behaves respectful around other dogs. Ace is very loved by volunteers due to his kind and goofy character, and through the daily attention due to the medical baths, he is very used to being touched and grabbed all over, and is enjoying human touch, attention and closenes.. His shoulder height is approximately 65cm.
