River is a beautiful Boxer-type looking for a forever home. River is playful and easy to walk on the leash. River needs a person who will take time to let him trust the human - he is coming from a background where we are sure he has been treated badly, as he seems to be expecting to be treated badly and therefore starts to defend himself in situations, where there really isn't any need. River needs a person who he can trust will protect him from all the dangers of the world. We are looking for preferably a one-person family, who lives a more quiet life, and does not expect their dog to meet many people all the time or receive a lot of visitors. River needs his human to keep him safe from strangers trying to pet him - it is stressy for him. River is looking for a dog-experienced human who will not give him up again, as he has already been let down twice or more in his short life....
