He is a small, compact 7-year-old Stafford who has spent several years in the shelter.
He arrived very insecure and distrustful of people. We don’t know about his past experiences, only that he was surrendered by his previous family. Over time he gained confidence and learned to open up to us, showing his sweetest and most charming side.
Once he knows you well, he starts seeking your attention and loves receiving snacks. He doesn’t like strangers approaching or invading his space without a proper introduction. He has lived with several female dogs, enjoys their company, and is very playful.
At first he pulls on the leash and can be a bit rough when playing or receiving affection, so his excitement needs to be managed. He is not reactive with other dogs.
In his kennel he is calm; he loves resting on his warm bed and sunbathing.
Drako needs an experienced family, preferably familiar with this type of breed, who knows how to handle and train him properly. He could live with another sociable dog after a proper introduction. We are looking for a home without children and with post-adoption follow-up. A PPP license is required.
